WESTMINSTER, MD — Karen Barbour, president, The Barbour Group (TBG) was named the top Carroll County fundraiser for the 2007 Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) Lock-Up, an annual fundraiser dedicated to helping Maryland children affected by muscular dystrophy.
Barbour attributes her fundraising success to the generosity of The Barbour Group’s contractors. “Every year my contractors give generously to support children in Maryland afflicted with MDA. I am very, very fortunate to have their support.”
The funds that Barbour has raised over the past several years help MDA provide much needed services to those affected by a neuromuscular disease in the Carroll County area and the state of Maryland.
“Karen Barbour has participated in the MDA Lock-Up program every year since 2004,” says Cathy Majka, MDA District Field Representative, “and has selflessly contributed her time and efforts to raise funds for MDA.”
