TBG Holiday Hours & December Updates

Tis the Season of Gratitude: Reflecting on an Incredible Year

As we embrace the holiday spirit, we want to extend warm wishes to our valued clients and industry partners. Please take note of our holiday hours: The Barbour Group will be closing early on Friday, December 22nd, and will reopen on December 27th. Additionally, we will be closed on Monday, January 1st, to ring in the new year.

We are thrilled to share the joyous moments from the recent holiday season, where The Barbour Group proudly played a pivotal role as a host sponsor at The Alliance for Hispanic Commercial Contractors' (AHCC) unforgettable holiday party at La Cuchara. The evening was filled with camaraderie and meaningful connections, reflecting the collaborative spirit that defines our industry. We extend our gratitude to all of the sponsors and attendees for making the evening such a remarkable event.

Amidst the festive cheer, The Barbour Group had the pleasure of attending the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Gala at the Engineers Club in Baltimore. The evening was nothing short of elegant, capturing the essence of celebration and community. We were also honored to participate in the holiday festivities hosted by Global HVAC, Immersive Concepts, and Pillar Construction, and we express our sincere thanks for their warm invitations.

As we approach the new year, we're excited about the upcoming events on our calendar. Join us for a Panel Discussion with the Carroll County Chamber on Success Building for Contractors on January 11th. Save the date for AHCC's panel discussion with Carpenter Contractor Trust on Estimating and Bidding on March 14th, and don't miss Karen Barbour's participation in ASA Baltimore's panel event on Work-in-Progress Reports on January 16th. These events promise valuable insights and networking opportunities.

As we reflect on the past year, The Barbour Group is immensely grateful for the continued support of our clients and industry partners. Your collaboration has been integral to our success, and we look forward to another year of shared achievements and growth. Thank you for your trust and partnership.

Wishing you a joyful holiday season and a prosperous New Year!

Warmest regards,

MDHCC Invites You to Participate in the State of MD Disparity Study
The State of Maryland (“State”) is conducting a comprehensive Utilization and Availability Study (the “Disparity Study”), led by MGT Consulting Group (“MGT”).  The overall purpose of the Disparity Study is to determine whether there is racial and/or gender business discrimination in the markets in which the State does business – both public and private sectors.

As part of that process, the State will collect data regarding the availability of firms owned by minorities and women, and the utilization of these firms as contractors and subcontractors in the Maryland marketplace.  In addition to analyses of quantitative data, the Disparity Study will also examine qualitative data about business discrimination (to the extent that it exists) provided by business owners, trade associations, business organizations, and other stakeholders.

We encourage ALL business owners to provide information about their experiences, particularly with respect to discrimination, while doing business or attempting to do business with the State of Maryland and other public or private entities in Maryland’s market area.  We hope that all firms, not just certified firms, will participate. For ways to get involved, please see the “Business Owner Engagement” page below.
