On January 23, 2024, the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) organized a roundtable discussion with leaders from small and mid-sized businesses, including representatives from underserved communities. Deputy Administrator Katy Kale, along with other GSA leaders and officials from related agencies, met with CEOs to gather input on challenges and successes in federal contracting. The meeting, part of GSA’s Equity Action Plan, focused on advancing equity in federal procurement. Topics included ongoing efforts to increase small business participation, collaboration between the government and small businesses, expanding contract opportunities for underserved communities, and addressing challenges in federal contracting.
